DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM
For many, the book of Revelation is a closed book. More than a Bible teacher has guided his class from Matthew to the Book of Jude, and then go back to the book of Matthew instead of facing unusual teachings of the Book of Revelation. We can not deny that confuses many people, but we can not deny that this book is of immeasurable blessing to others.
Revelation is simply the most fascinating book of the Bible because it gives us a detailed description of the future. We all want to know what is going to happen to us and our loved ones after death, what will happen in this world and what awaits this planet in the future. Revelation not only provides answers to these questions, but also gives us in great detail.
This book not only answers questions unknown to any other source, but we are the first-hand reports, this is “the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
DEFINITION OF RESEARCH
I argue that a proper understanding of Revelation motivates Christians to a strong dedication and service. Above all, the study of this book will give a lively love for Jesus Christ and lost souls. But I will speak only of the seven churches of Revelation.
METHODS AND RESEARCH TECHNIQUES
I will be using the following methods: inductive, deductive, statistical, historical and theological.
It is my hope that this research will form a database and results of the importance of proper understanding of Revelation. And you can help others to not only look at the Gospels but also can be put in the pages of Revelation without fear.
Research sources that I have used are: Library, Articles, Internet, books, newspapers and personal contribution.
OUTLINE OF RESEARCH
The church of Jesus Christ was founded on the basis of the testimony of his personal deity, in Matthew 16:18 says: … “The gates of Hades will not prevail against it” … Christ had intentions to deal personally with the church stated he was protected.
This is not as clear as anywhere else in the heavenly vision of John, which shows Christ walking among the candlesticks (churches), causing the light they receive from him shine among a world debate in the darkness.
Chapters 2 and 3 of Revelation give the message of Christ to the seven churches of Asia that goes further and addresses the churches that come later. The praise, condemnation, and challenge the divine counsel of Christ are as vital today as the day they were written.
I. The Church of Ephesus:
The Apostolic Church, 30-100 D.C.
 Biblical scholars believe that Ephesus was one of the largest churches and excellent New Testament times. The apostle Paul was founded at the end of his second missionary journey (Acts 18:19-20).
 Ephesus city of Lydia, on the western coast of Asia Minor, halfway between Miletus and Smyrna south to north. Ephesus was located on the natural trading crossroads on the main artery running from Rome to the East.
A. The Ephesian or apostolic period:
 The first of seven letters addressed to the church of “Ephesus.” There are at least two reasons as to why Ephesus was selected first: (1) was the most important city in Asia Minor, both commercial (for its large port) and politically (for having the largest population). In addition, there was the temple of the great goddess Diana. This temple was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, (2) was the headquarters of the ministry of the apostle John and where he spent nearly half his life. The church of Ephesus was founded by the Apostle Paul in the years 50-55 AD It Paul ministered during more than three years. The letter to the church at Ephesus that Christ commands John to write was sent between 40 to 50 years after the founding of the church.
In 431 A.D. held the Council of Ephesus. On that occasion, the leaders of Christianity met in that city by imperial mandate to combat Nestorius teaching concerning the Person of Christ. Nestorius was the bishop of Constantinople.The Ephesian or apostolic period extends from the Day of Pentecost (about AD 30) to the year 100 AD
The name of Ephesus want desir “pull”. This was the church or the church age most desirable of all.
1. A church worker:
“I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance.”
Christ commended this early church by his faithful Christian service work. Serving Christ is working. Christ knows and faithful service preserves “… And whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because one of my disciples, I assure you not lose his reward.” (Matthew 10:42).
 The early church did an expansion of the teaching of the gospel through the ministry of the Jewish Christians higher than that achieved from the church leadership became predominantly Gentile. Even with all our modern methods of communication and our air travel can match that success evangelizing.
Interestingly apostasy and indifference were characteristic of the Church of Jesus Christ under the administration of the Gentiles, while evangelism was characteristic of Jewish leadership. The prophetic truth that is found in Revelation 7 highlights it saying that the next time at which proclaim the gospel around the world will be under Jewish leadership when one hundred forty-four thousand Jewish Christian witnesses go preach the gospel to reach a multitude “so great that no one could count” (7:9).
2. A separate church:
“It can not tolerate wicked.”
The Greek word for “church” is ekklesia, which literally desir “called out.” A true church is the one in the world but does not belong to the world. One of the things that characterized the early church, but other churches, was his refusal to fraternize with weak Christians.
3. A pure church:
“I know that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.”
Immediately after the day of Pentecost, Satan sowed tares among the wheat of the Lord. Some of these weeds were disguised as apostles and went around cheating on his innocence to some of the newborn churches, as they had no written copies of the scriptures.
Of course, God is faithful, and those churches who sought him in truth and that tested the spirits “to see whether they were of God” were not deceived. The church at Ephesus was one of them and did not allow the false apostles deceived.
4. A suffering church:
“You have persevered and suffered for my name, not grown weary.”
The structure of these words indicates very clearly that the church of Ephesus was a church consequential suffering throughout their history in the true spread of the gospel message and not give up, but boldly presenting the gospel of Christ.
5. An autonomous church:
“You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.”
The word “Nicolaitans” comes from two Greek words: niko; ‘conqueror derrocador “and laos,” the people, the laity. ” It seems that in the early days of the church, followers of Nicholas holding two serious heretical views.
The history of the church of Jesus Christ is a continuous cycle of autonomous churches that are blended in large conventions, names, or ecclesiastical hierarchy that eventually become apostates. In time, this leads to the separation of the minority group that seeks to be faithful to Scripture, independent, subject only to the Holy Spirit. Certainly the church of Ephesus and apostolic early church succeeded in opposing the work of the Nicolaitans, who later accepted the church of Pergamos (Rev. 2:15).
B. Condemnation of Christ:
“Nevertheless I have this against you: You have forsaken your first love.”
There was only one condemnation against this early church, but it was a very serious. Although it was true, unconsciously succumbed in the natural tendency of allowing even the most wonderful experience became commonplace.
C. The counsel of Christ:
The churches of Christ advises the church at Ephesus to do three things:
1. “Remember from where you have fallen.”
Firmly, Christ admonishes the Ephesian believers to remember the faithfulness of the early years and to make an inventory of their spiritual life.
They had become of his coldness and indifference to a vital relationship with Christ.
* “Re-do the things you did at first.”
This completes the counsel of Christ and stands as a testament to the love of the church.
D. The challenge of Christ:
Christ The challenge presented to the church of Ephesus has two special branches:
* “Hear what the Spirit says.”
“He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
This was an expression of the Lord Jesus Christ that appears in many of his parables (eg. Matthew 13:9). The claim involves three classes of individuals:
a. Those who have no ears: Of course, this can not refer to the physical ears, because all we have. Unquestionably refers to those who have not been put in tune with the Holy Spirit.
b. Those who are hard of hearing: Not all born-again Christians are willing to hear the Spirit of God when He speaks. The Holy Spirit reproves the Jews who were “slow learners”.
c. Those Christians in the spirit willing and eager to hear what the Spirit says to the churches (James 1:22).
2. “Eternal life for him who overcomes.”
“To him who overcomes I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.” The tree of life, which may eat those who overcomes, is, undoubtedly, the tree they were forbidden to Adam and Eve after sinning. Only the winners will eat of the tree of life. Who’s a winner 1 John 5:4-5 gives us the answer, “For everyone who is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. ”
